Dr Don Wilton

Dr Don Wilton graduated from medicine at Sydney University in 1978 with first class honours. He undertook junior training at Prince of Wales and Prince Henry Hospital and then continued with paediatric training at the Camperdown Children’s Hospital and Westmead Children’s Hospital. He obtained a Diploma in Child Health from London in 1984 and continued as a paediatric registrar in neonatal transport at Camperdown Children’s Hospital until entering solo General Practice in 1986 
in Neutral Bay. He continued as a solo GP till 2000 and then joined 2 other colleagues to set up The Waters Road General Practice which has been running continuously since then. “Dr Don” has always had a keen interest in paediatrics. He has also become particularly associated with caring for geriatric patients and those with complex chronic health conditions. He has always aimed to supply high level , up-to-date medical care combined with the ongoing compassion and personal care traditionally provided by a family practitioner. He considers holistic care of the patient and his/her family together with promoting preventative medicine to be of great importance. He also sees collaborative management together with the patient and other health professionals as essential.
