Gordon 7 Day Medical Centre is an accredited family medical practice open 7 days a week. We are open 8am-6pm weekdays and 9am-1pm Saturday and Sunday. We have Australian trained General Practitioners, nurses and onsite pathology. We offer a range of allied health services including physiotherapy, psychology and dietitian services.
We are a private billing clinic Monday to Sunday. Patients who have a current Pension Concession Card, Centrelink Health Care Card and Commonwealth Seniors Health care card along with children 15 years and under will be billed a reduced rate from Monday to Fridays. Please contact the practice to make a booking. The walk-ins fee will be $40 in addition to the standard consultation rate.
A private fee applies for all Weekend and Public Holiday appointments.
We are located at 745- 749 Pacific Highway, Gordon (the big white building) with ample Council parking at the rear on Wade Lane (2hrs free parking).
We serve patients from Gordon, Pymble, St Ives, Killara, Turramurra, Lindfield and the surrounding North Shore areas and look forward to meeting you and your family.

"Petra has a masters in Nutrition and Dietetics and is Accredited by Dietitians Australia. She applies different dietary strategies depending on the presenting health problems, including low carb, ketogenic, low calorie, methionine restriction, and carnivore along with supplements if there are dietary gaps in nutrients due to likes/dislikes.
Fee changes will occur from 1st July 2025 to maintain an environment where we can provide you with the quality of service you deserve. We aim to keep your overall out-of-pocket expense to a minimum, while maintaining the highest possible standard of care. Discounted fees are only available during the week for Pensioner card holders and Children under 16 years.
We still want to maximise accessibility for our patients. Therefore patients that hold a current pension or health care concession card and children under 16 will be charged a reduced fee.
The fee structure has been simplified to minimise out of pocket expenses for most appointment types. The gap fee will increase slightly if the appointment is longer than 40 minutes. Children under 16 years of age will be charge a reduced fee ($20 less than the adult fee).
Weekends and Public Holidays
Consultations on Weekends and Public Holidays are privately billed for all patients. This includes pension or health care concession card holders; and children under the age of 16 years
Telehealth Appointments
Medicare rules dictate that new patients and patients who have not attended the practice for a face-to-face consult within the last 12 months will not be eligible to receive a Medicare rebate for their telehealth consult. If you have not attended the practice within the last 12 months, you will be charged the full private fee.
This excludes:
People under the age of 12 months
People who are experiencing homelessness
People who have received a stay-at-home order from NSW government due to COVID
Non Attendance Policy
Please note that a Non-Attendance Fee of $40 is payable if a patient does not attend their appointment or if the appointment is cancelled with less than two hours notice.
Vaccines & Procedural Fees
For all vaccination and procedural costs please ask one of our friendly receptionists. Your doctor will explain any additional costs to you and obtain your consent prior to receiving treatment. Travel vaccines will also incur a private fee for the purchase of the vaccine as they are not covered by Medicare.
Medical Assessments
Pre-employment medical assessments and other medical assessments are usually privately billed. The cost will depend on the length and complexity of the medical assessment. Our reception team are able to give a price guide, but final cost will be determined by the doctor.
Medical Records Transfer
Transferring full medical records attracts a small $40 excl. GST administration fee.

If this is your first visit to the practice, please bring the following to your first consultation:
A valid Medicare card if you have one (check expiry date) and a Photo ID (eg driver’s licence/student card)
Please arrive 10 minutes ahead of your scheduled appointment time to fill in necessary paperwork including a New Patient Registration Form (Can be downloaded and pre-filled by clicking here: New Patient Registration Form)
If you are a Workcover patient, you will need to inform your Employer prior to the consultation and bring your employer’s contact details for verification to arrange payment through Workcover
If you are coming for a consultation with private billing, or on a Public Holiday or you are a Private patient (without a Valid Medicare card) or you intend on having a procedure eg Dressings/Suturing/Vaccinations, please bring a form of payment. We accept Cash, Eftpos and Credit Cards. We do not accept Cheques.
If you need to change your appointment time please inform us as soon as possible to avoid late cancellation fees.

If you require after hours medical assistance of a non-urgent nature, please call 02 7252 1599. A private fee of $200 applies to all after hours consultations.
For any urgent medical care please call 000.
A private non rebatable fee of $200 applies to all after hours telehealth consultations. Home visits will be at the doctors discretion and may incur additional fees. A staff member will contact you on the next business day to process payment.
What parking / public transport is available?
Parking
Metered street parking is available and free public parking is available at the rear of our building (next to Gordon Train Station).
By Train
If you are coming by train, the nearest train station is Gordon Train Station and is less than a 5 minute walk away.
By Bus
If you are coming by bus the nearest stop ID numbers are 207214 and 207212 and are serviced by routes 195-197, 560, 562, N90, 16TI, 23TI and 24TI.
Do you accept new patients?
Yes, all new patients are welcome.
If I don’t have Medicare can I still see a doctor?
Yes, however consults without a Medicare card will attract a private fee. Please refer to our fee schedule or contact one of our receptionists for further details.
Do I need to make an appointment?
We accept walk-in and booked appointments. We recommend booking at your preferred time as we cannot guarantee wait times for patients who come in without an appointment. Our doctors aim to see all patients in a timely manner.
Do I need a long consultation?
Our appointments are booked in a standard slot of 15 minutes which usually allows discussion of one matter. Long consultations can be booked upon the doctor’s recommendation. Please advise our receptionists if you would like an extended appointment.
Can I have a phone consultation?
It is ideal for you to see your doctor in person where possible, however telehealth consultations are available if required. Currently, medicare rebates for telehealth consultations are only available for patients who have attended a face-to-face consultation at the practice within the past 12 months. If you are a new patient or have not attended the practice in over 12 months, there will be no medicare rebate. Please call our reception staff to discuss further.
How do I get my test results?
Test results will not be given be given over the phone. Our doctors request that you book an appointment for your results. This is to fulfill their duty of care and ensure adequate follow-up is provided to their patients.
What if I need to see a doctor after hours?
If you are an existing patient of the practice and require after hours medical assistance of a non-urgent nature, please call 0491 837 158. A private non-rebatable fee of $200 applies to all after hours telehealth consultations. Home visits will be at the doctors discretion and may incur additional fees. A staff member will contact you on the next business day to process payment.

Do you send out appointment reminders?
We do not send out reminder texts for GP appointments. However, if you use our online booking system HotDoc you will receive a reminder through the app.
For allied health appointments, we will remind you the day before your appointment as a courtesy.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 2 hours’ notice to cancel GP appointments and 48 hours notice for allied health appointments. Failure to give the required notice period may incur a fee, depending on the circumstances.
Why do I need to see the nurse?
The nurse assists the doctor to ensure you receive the highest standard of care. The nurse may assist in procedures and take some observations before your consult so the doctor has a more complete picture of your health.
Why is my doctor running late?
Our doctors and receptionists are not always able to preempt how long an appointment will take. Seemingly simple problems may need further exploration and discussion. Our doctors are thorough and will not ask a patient to leave until they are confident the highest standard of care has been given. This may cause a delay. Occasionally an unforeseen emergency patient may require medical attention and need to be fitted in. We ask for your understanding in these incidences.
Can I get my medical certificate/referral changed or backdated?
If you would like your medical certificate extended, you will need to return to your GP for an appointment so they can evaluate your condition.
We are not able to backdate medical certificates past the day you saw the doctor for the condition.
Can I get my records transferred to/from your practice?
Yes, if you would like your records sent to us please ask reception for a ‘transfer of record form’ which we will send to your previous practice.
If you would like your records sent elsewhere, please send us your signed consent form and new practice details. Your new practice will have a template for you to fill in.
Do you have parking on site?
There is ample council parking at the rear of the building in the Gordon Train Station multi-story car park.
Do I need an appointment with Pathology?
If you have a pathology request form from your doctor, you do not need to make an appointment. Our pathology services are offered on an as-you-arrive basis, Monday – Friday 8:00am to 2:00pm. However, if you require a glucose tolerance test (GTT or OGTT) please contact reception to book in.
Do I need to fast for my blood tests?
Your doctor will give you instructions for your blood test during your consult. If you are unsure, please contact reception and we can transfer you to our pathology collector. 4Cyte Pathology is on site Monday – Friday from 8am to 2pm.
Do you have X-ray facilities?
We do not have imaging on site, the nearest facility is PRP Imaging Gordon located next door to our Practice.
