We use the latest technology to provide a convenient and comprehensive range of medical and allied health services, all under one roof. We are a family practice with the ability to accept appointments and walk-ins on weekdays.
Our medical practice contains state-of-the-art medical facilities and equipment and we also have nursing, onsite pathology and allied health services.
We invite you to visit us at ground level, Birkenhead Point Shopping Centre, 19 Roseby Street Drummoyne (same level as Coles, behind food court, next to the Chemist).

Please be advised of fee changes effective from 1st July 2025. For more information, please refer to the Practice Fees section below. Fee Schedule 2025
Fee changes will occur from 1st July 2025 to maintain an environment where we can provide you with the quality of service you deserve. We aim to keep your overall out-of-pocket expense to a minimum, while maintaining the highest possible standard of care.
From 1st January 2022, Telehealth Consultations will no longer be routinely bulk-billed for all patients.
As of August 28th 2022 Birkenhead Medical Centre will charging a reduced fee for Medicare Patients with a Centrelink Health Care or Pension Card, or children under 16 for Telehealth, provided they have attended the clinic for a Face-to-Face Appointment in the last 12 months. Or if you qualify due to being Covid positive.
A Private Fee will apply for all other telehealth consultations. After the Medicare Rebate, out of the pocket fee will incur depending on the appointment length.
Payment will be collected prior to the consultation, via a secure payment request we send from HotDoc, or over the phone. Medicare rebates will be processed online for you.
Children & Concession Card Holders
From August 28th 2022 children and new patients with valid concession card, a discounted fee will be applicable for all the weekday consultations.

Cancellation Policy
If you are unable to attend for a scheduled appointment, please contact us to cancel or change your appointment time. A fee will be charged for failure to attend or cancellation with less than 2 hours notice. (Please note: this fee is not Medicare rebatable).
Procedural Fees
All procedures will incur a private fee including Women’s Health Check (Pap Smear), Implanon Insertion/Removal, Skin Checks and Skin Resections.
Additional Fees
Pre-employment medical assessments and other medical assessments are also privately billed.
Any consultations requiring additional services may be charged a procedural equipment fee of between $10 – $50.
Travel vaccines will incur a private fee also for the purchase of the vaccine as they are not covered by Medicare.
Your doctor will explain any additional costs to you and obtain your consent prior to any treatment received.

New Patients
New patients are welcome to make an appointment by phone or online by clicking on the “Make an Appointment” tab on the top right of this web page.
If you are a New Patient to Birkenhead Medical Centre please bring the following to your next consultation:
1. A valid Medicare card if you have one (check expiry date)
2. If you are a Workcover patient, you will need to inform your Employer prior to the consultation and bring your employer’s contact details for verification to arrange payment through Workcover
3. If you are coming for a consultation or you intend on having a procedure eg Dressings/Suturing/Vaccinations, please bring a form of payment. We accept Cash, Eftpos and all types of Credit Cards . We do not accept Cheques.
4. Please arrive 5 minutes before your consultation to complete some paperwork or alternatively you can complete the New Patient Form here and bring it to your appointment .
5. If you need to change your appointment time please inform us as soon as possible on (02) 9719 3888 to avoid late cancellation fees.
We are located inside Birkenhead Point Shopping Centre (same level as Coles, next to ALDI and Amcal Chemist) behind the food court. Ample 3hr Free parking is available within the shopping centre. If you are coming by bus, look out for 500-series buses to Victoria Road, Drummoyne, alighting at the first stop after Iron Cove Bridge (Thornley Street).
After hours contact information
If you are an existing patient of the practice and require after hours medical assistance of a non-urgent nature between 7pm and 7am, please call (02) 72521599 (fees apply).
A private non rebatable fee of $200 applies to all after hours telehealth consultations. Home visits will be at the doctors discretion and may incur additional fees. A staff member will contact you on the next business day to process payment.
