What does a Paediatrician do?

A paediatrician is a medical doctor who specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and medical conditions in infants, children, and adolescents. They are trained to provide comprehensive medical care for children from birth through the teenage years.

Paediatricians also provide preventive care, such as immunisations and check-ups, and they work in partnership with parents to promote healthy growth and development. They can also provide guidance on nutrition, physical activity and sleep habits, as well as emotional and social development.

What Are Common Childhood Illnesses?

As parents, we are bound to worry when our child gets sick.

Most illnesses in children are viral infections that are of a short-term nature and do not result in long-term health consequences. Luckily, for all cases no matter how large or small, Nuvo Health has a team of highly skilled paediatric doctors who can assess and manage your child’s needs.
