Nuvo Health Medical Centre Epping, formerly The Carlingford Epping Surgery has operated in the local area for over 85 years, commencing in Epping and opening a surgery in Carlingford shortly thereafter. The practice has always sought to provide individuals and families in our community with a comprehensive service in all areas of General Practice.
Patients are able to see the doctor of their choice, but if their doctor is not available, other doctors in the practice will be able to see them and access their medical history, thereby ensuring the highest level of continuing quality care. All patient’s consultations and medical records are kept in the strictest of confidence.
We have 9 General Practitioners, 2 Practice Nurses, a Clinical Psychologists and a Dietitian at the practice. We also have pathology services onsite by 4Cyte Pathology.

Private Fee Changes
Fee changes will occur from 2nd December 2024 to maintain an environment where we can provide you with the quality of service you deserve. We aim to keep your overall out-of-pocket expense to a minimum, while maintaining the highest possible standard of care.
Weekend Private Fee Schedule (NEW):
All Weekend Appointments will be charged up to $20 more than the usual weekday rate for each service
If you do not have Medicare, the appointment cost will vary based on consultation length and a receipt can be provided for private health fund claiming.
TELEPHONE CONSULTATIONS – UPDATE
From 1st October 2021, Telehealth Consultations will no longer be routinely bulk-billed for all patients.
A Private Fee will apply for all telehealth consultations. After the Medicare Rebate, patients will be out of pocket $30-$47 regardless of consultation length.
Payment will be collected prior to the consultation, via a secure payment request we send from Hotdoc, or over the phone. Medicare rebates will be processed online to save you hassle.
Practice Fees
We are a mixed billing practice and most consultations incur a Gap fee after the Medicare rebate. Immediate Medicare rebate is able to be made back onto your savings card on the spot electronically.
All our Doctors charge individually therefore if you do not see your usual doctor your consultation fee may vary.
Doctors offer a discounted rate for pensioners, children and students.
New Patients
If this is your first visit to the practice, please bring the following to your first consultation:
- A valid Medicare card if you have one (check expiry date) and a Photo ID (eg driver’s licence/student card)
- Please arrive 10 minutes ahead of your scheduled appointment time to fill in necessary paperwork including a New Patient Registration Form (Can be downloaded and pre-filled by clicking here: New Patient Registration Form)
- If you are a Workcover patient, you will need to inform your Employer prior to the consultation and bring your employer’s contact details for verification to arrange payment through Workcover
- If you are coming for a consultation with private billing, or on a Public Holiday or you are a Private patient (without a Valid Medicare card) or you intend on having a procedure eg Dressings/Suturing/Vaccinations, please bring a form of payment. We accept Cash, Eftpos and Credit Cards. We do not accept Cheques.
If you need to change your appointment time please inform us as soon as possible to avoid late cancellation fees.
