Dr Joshua Farrell

General Practitioner with special interest in dermatology and skin cancer

Dr Joshua Farrell is a qualified General Practitioner with a strong focus on dermatology and skin cancer medicine. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in French), a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), and a Master of Medicine.

Since 2019, he has worked closely alongside multiple dermatologists in an unaccredited dermatology training position, developing advanced expertise in the diagnosis and management of skin conditions. He has completed extensive postgraduate training in dermatology, including dermoscopy and skin cancer management, and has obtained multiple qualifications in this field. His clinical interests include skin cancer detection, diagnosis and treatment, as well as comprehensive skin checks.

Dr Farrell is actively involved in dermatology research and is committed to remaining at the forefront of the field. He has published over 20 dermatology research articles, contributed as a peer reviewer for multiple dermatology journals, and presented his work at national and international conferences. He was awarded a scholarship to present at the 25th World Congress of Dermatology and has also presented at the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology Congress. In addition, he has been involved in multiple clinical trials, contributing to the development of new and emerging dermatological treatments.

Outside of medicine, Dr Farrell enjoys spending time with his young family, travelling, and maintaining his interest in languages. He is a local to Sydney's Eastern Suburbs and is passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centred care to his community.
