Zoledronic Acid Infusions
What is Zoledronic acid?
Zoledronic acid is a once-yearly intravenous (IV) treatment used to strengthen bones and reduce the risk of fractures.
It may be suitable for patients with:
- Osteoporosis
- Osteopenia with increased fracture risk
- Bone protection needs during certain cancer treatments
- Paget’s disease
Treatment involves a 15–30 minute infusion and offers the convenience of once-yearly dosing. It has been clinically proven to reduce fracture risk.
We coordinate with your GP or specialist to ensure all required blood tests and bone density scans are reviewed prior to treatment.
Before any infusion, we ensure:
- Valid GP or specialist referral
- Appropriate blood tests
- Screening for contraindications
- Monitoring during and after treatment
All patients booking an infusion require a 15-minute consultation first.
