    Practice Fees

Please note our fees will be increasing as of 1st July 2026

Surry Hills Medical Practice is a mixed-billing practice – we bulk-bill patients with a valid Medicare Card aged 18 and under, full-time students and patients with a valid Pension Concession Card from Centrelink.

For all other patients there will be a private fee and we can process your Medicare Rebate on the spot for you.

Please note that our reception team cannot advise the exact fee you will be charged at the time of booking. The below fees and rebates are a guide only.

The doctor will determine the Medicare item number to be charged on the day of your appointment based on the Length and Complexity of your consultation.

A ‘Standard’ appointment is usually for one main issue/medical need.

A ‘Long’ appointment is usually for more than one issue/medical need.

A ‘Extended’ appointment is for several complex issues/medical needs.

Appointments on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays are considered premium services and will attract a $20 – $40 higher fee than weekday appointments.

Payment is accepted by Cash, Eftpos, Visa or MasterCard at the time of your consultation.
