Beverley Tow – Psychologist
Beverley trained as a psychologist in South Africa before migrating to Sydney in 1986. She has been practising psychology since 1991, starting in community health and then moving to private practice for 20 years. She has been a Psychologist at Randwick Doctors Medical Centre for the past five years, is registered with AHPRA and is a full member of the APS. She is a certified mindfulness and meditation teacher who has completed a diploma in Mindfulness and Compassion Teacher Training with the Insight Meditation Institute. She served as the psychologist on the MUM FOR MUM committee between 2013 and 2015. Beverley has done considerable professional development training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Positive Neuroplasticity Training, Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Kristen Neff’s Self-compassion Training and Positive Psychology. She has a special interest in stress, anxiety, panic, depression, relationship issues, assertiveness training, conflict resolution, grief, loss and bereavement, life transition and adjustment issues, personal growth and enhancement, midlife crises and revisioning one’s life, lifestyle tools- teaching skills of living with mindfulness and compassion.
