Dr Aanchal Shankar

Dr Shankar holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Macquarie University, completed her hospital training at Hornsby and Sydney Adventist Hospitals, and achieved the top performance band in the clinical component of her Fellowship (FRACGP) examinations.

She has further qualifications in women’s health and paediatrics, including a Certificate of Women’s Health from RANZCOG and a Graduate Diploma in Child Health from Western Sydney University. She has undertaken additional procedural training in contraceptive implant (Implanon) insertion and removal with Family Planning NSW, and IUD insertion and removal with Bayer. Dr Shankar is also a certified continuation prescriber for ADHD medication.

Inspired by the compassionate care of her own childhood GP, Dr Shankar values building long-term relationships with her patients and is committed to providing empathetic, holistic and patient-centred care. She strives to ensure her patients feel heard, supported and actively involved in their healthcare.
