Dr Alexander Beath

Dr Alexander Beath is a General Practitioner with interests in preventive medicine, general medicine, geriatrics, paediatrics and skin cancer medicine. Graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine in 2012 in his home town of Newcastle, Alex moved to Sydney for Internship/Residency in 2013-2014 at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He undertook Basic Physician Training in 2016-17 at St George/Sutherland Hospitals and in 2018 spent a year in the Emergency Department at Prince of Wales and Sydney Children's Hospital prior to commencing General Practice Training. Alex is also currently a part-time Staff Specialist in the Hospital in the Home department at Royal North Shore Hospital and recently became a Board Director of the HITH Society of Australasia. This keeps him engaged with hospital teaching and education opportunities as well as collaboration with medical, nursing and allied health colleagues. With a diverse skill set and a compassionate approach, Alex is dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of individuals and families in his community. In his spare time, Alex loves spending time with his young family, particularly taking them down to the beach on his cargo bike. He enjoys surf skiing and playing the guitar.
