Dr Joel Winney

Dr Joel completed his medical degree at the University of New South Wales and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He has worked across Sydney in hospitals and general practice, gaining broad experience in paediatrics, chronic disease management, and complex care before joining Lane Cove.

He has particular interests in preventive medicine, paediatrics, musculoskeletal health, and both men’s and women’s health. Joel has completed further training through the Sydney Child Health Program and is the clinical lead of our asthma clinic, treating both children and adults. He also provides antenatal shared care through the Northern Sydney Local Health District.

Outside of medicine, Joel enjoys cooking and sharing good food, playing tennis, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
