Dr McCaffrey manages both normal pregnancy and high-risk obstetrics, able to deliver pregnancies at The Mater Hospital, North Shore Private and Royal North Shore (Public) Hospitals. He gained further minimally invasive surgical experience working as a fellow at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Darlinghurst and completed a Master of Surgery at The University of Sydney.He is extensively trained on the Da Vinci Robotic-assisted surgical system and has been assigned a robotic surgical proctor, using expertise and experience to also train other surgeons. This allows him to offer patients with complex pelvic conditions, including endometriosis and heavy menstrual bleeding, the most advanced technology thus optimising patient outcomes. He has regular private and public operating lists.He reviews urgent appointments within the week and/or will organise urgent surgery promptly where needed. He enjoys a collaborative approach with GPs, encouraging them to contact him anytime with any questions.In his spare time, Dr McCaffrey is a volunteer surf-life saver, he provides medical care to the homeless through Street Side Medics and is a Medical Officer with the Australian Defence Force Army Reserves.
