Dr Lindsay Chan – Geriatrician
Dr Lindsay Chan is a Sydney-based Geriatrician and Visiting Medical Officer at Royal North Shore Hospital, where she works across the Aged Care Rapid Response Team (ARRT), BRACE and GRACE services. She also consults at Arcadia Pittwater Private Rehabilitation Hospital and has previously worked as a Geriatrician at Concord Repatriation and General Hospital.
Dr Chan completed her Doctor of Medicine and Surgery (MChD) at the Australian National University, following a Bachelor of Pharmacy (First Class Honours) from the University of Sydney. She undertook her internal medicine and geriatric medicine training at leading Sydney hospitals, including Royal North Shore Hospital, Concord Repatriation and General Hospital, and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. She was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
She provides comprehensive geriatric care with a special interest in community geriatrics, frailty assessment and management, polypharmacy management, and medication optimisation in older adults. Dr Chan is passionate about delivering community-based aged care, supporting older adults to maintain independence, function and quality of life.
Dr Chan is also actively involved in medical education, serving as Coordinator of the statewide monthly “Old School” education program for NSW Geriatric Medicine Advanced Trainees. She has also worked as a provisional examiner for the RACP Divisional Clinical Examination. Known for her compassionate, patient-centred approach, Dr Chan values collaborative care with patients, families and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
