Dr Maneesha Kapuwatte
Dr. Maneesha Kapuwatte graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery in 2008 from India. She worked in Intensive Care in Sri Lanka before moving to Sydney where she trained in Emergency Medicine and worked in the hospital system for a number of years. After realising that she values a more holistic approach to health, she changed course and obtained Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2019. She has worked at various general practices in Sydney and regional areas prior to joining Coogee Medical Centre. She enjoys the variety that General Practice offers, and has a special interest in paediatrics, women’s health and mental health.
Maneesha is trained in the insertion of Implanon contraceptive implants. She has completed the Sydney Child Health Program (formerly the Diploma of Child Health). She has also completed the Australian Family Planning Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health. She is affiliated to provide shared antenatal care with the Royal Hospital for Women.
