Dr Peter Bradhurst

Dr Peter Bradhurst is a Clinical Immunologist and Immunopathologist with dual fellowship qualifications from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA). He obtained his medical degree and Master of Public Health from the University of New South Wales and completed specialist training in Clinical Immunology and Immunopathology across Royal Prince Alfred and Liverpool Hospitals.

Dr Bradhurst holds a consultant position at Concord Hospital's Department of Immunology and is a Clinical Lecturer at the University of Sydney, where he is involved in teaching Basic Physician Trainees and Immunology Advanced Trainees. His clinical practice spans the full breadth of adult immunology and allergy, including allergic conditions (allergic rhinitis, food allergy, drug allergy, asthma, eczema, and chronic urticaria), autoimmune diseases (including lupus, myositis, scleroderma, and Sjögren's syndrome), immunodeficiencies, autoinflammatory diseases, and the use of biological therapies. He is also involved in Phase 1 clinical trials investigating autologous CAR-T cell therapy for refractory autoimmune disease.

Alongside his clinical work, Dr Bradhurst maintains an active research program and is completing a PhD with Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the University of Sydney. His research focuses on developing novel diagnostic tests for rare immunological and autoimmune diseases. He was awarded the inaugural RPA Hospital Scholarship in Diagnostic Immunology and the RCPA Foundation Postgraduate Research Fellowship.
