Dr Shailja Tewari – Endocrinologist

Dr Shailja Tewari completed her MBBS and then undertook Basic Physicians training at The Concord Repatriation General Hospital. She completed a further 3 years of Endocrinology Advanced training at The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital and The Concord Repatriation General Hospital. Dr Tewari has gained varied and comprehensive training in all aspects of Endocrinology. She was awarded fellowship by the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2007. She holds public hospital appointments at The Canterbury and the Concord Repatriation General Hospitals. Dr Shailja Tewari looks forward to assisting you in managing Type 2 and Type 1 Diabetes. She has expertise in managing thyroid, pituitary, adrenal disorders, osteoporosis and assessment and management of hypogonadism and PCOS. Dr Tewari will be happy to assist you with optimising Diabetes control for pregnancy planning. Dr Tewari’s areas of expertise include:
