Thais Giongo – Psychologist

Thaís is an AHPRA registered psychologist based in Randwick, Sydney. She holds a Master of Clinical Psychology degree from the Australian Catholic University as well as a Bachelor of Psychology from PUCPR, Brazil, and is currently undertaking a Registrar Program with AHPRA to become endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist. Thaís is passionate about mental health, helping her clients achieve emotional wellbeing and personal growth through an individualized approach. She creates a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard and empowered to explore their challenges as they work towards meaningful change in their lives. Thaís specialises in working with adults and older adolescents (16+) across various areas, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress management and relationship difficulties. Her therapeutic style is collaborative, inclusive, and culturally sensitive, built upon a foundation of evidence-based frameworks and her professional experience working with a range of conditions. As part of her work, Thais has drawn upon Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness practices, while tailoring each session to meet her client’s unique needs. She believes therapy is a collaborative journey where self-awareness and resilience can lead to lasting positive change in an individual’s life. Her goal is to help clients develop practical strategies, enhance self-compassion and find a renewed sense of clarity and balance in their lives. She has previously worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, collaborating within multidisciplinary teams and demonstrating her adaptability in diverse environments.
