Abbey Hamilton
Abbey is an Accredited Practising Dietitian working alongside The Lifestyle Dietitian team who is passionate about supporting her clients to improve their health in a way that feels realistic, sustainable and aligned with their lifestyle. She works from a non-diet approach, focusing on building a positive relationship with food and empowering her patients to create meaningful, lasting behaviour change. Abbey has experience supporting individuals across a range of health conditions, with particular interest in women’s health, metabolic health and gut health. She works with patients managing conditions such as PCOS, endometriosis, insulin resistance, cardiovascular risk, and gastrointestinal concerns including IBS. Abbey also has experience in chronic disease management within primary care settings, including diabetes, high cholesterol and weight management. With a strong focus on understanding the ‘why’ behind eating behaviours, Abbey takes the time to explore each patient’s lifestyle, medical history, and relationship with food to provide tailored, evidence-based care. She uses motivational interviewing and behaviour change strategies to support patients in translating knowledge into practical, achievable steps. Abbey is committed to ongoing professional development and is currently completing further training in health coaching and FODMAP nutrition to continue expanding her clinical skillset. She enjoys translating complex nutrition science into simple, practical advice and creating resources that help patients feel confident in managing their health beyond the consult room. In her spare time, Abbey enjoys getting outdoors, staying active and spending time by the coast. She values balance and believes that food should support life, not complicate it - a philosophy she brings into every consultation
