Dr Mrunmayee “Mrun” Bhalerao
Dr Mrunmayee “Mrun” Bhalerao is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She completed her medical degree at the University of Tasmania in 2018 and gained diverse hospital experience in Tasmanian Hospitals, including in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Cardiology, Emergency Medicine, and Paediatrics. She undertook her GP fellowship training in Hobart, developing a special interest in allergy medicine through her work with Allergy Tasmania, and became a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2023.Dr Bhalerao recently relocated to Sydney to take on a new role as a General Practitioner, continuing her clinical practice while contributing to medical education through her role as a medical student tutor at UNSW. She focuses on comprehensive, patient-centred care, with interests in chronic disease management, mental health, women’s health, contraceptive advice, and healthy ageing.She focusses deeply on a collaborative approach with her patients and believes in empowering them to make informed medical decisions.Fluent in Hindi and Marathi, Dr Bhalerao brings a culturally sensitive perspective to her practice.Outside of medicine, she enjoys baking, practicing martial arts, bushwalking, exploring new cuisines and recently exploring the city of Sydney.
